Abstract:

In present paper, vibration of Nano FGM plate based on modified couple stress and First Order Shear Deformation Theories (FSDT) under moving load has been developed. Basic equations and linear strains are introduced by first order shear deformation theory and Mori Tanaka’s model is used for the plate. The module of elasticity and density are assumed to vary only through thickness of plate. Governing Equations are derived according to the modified couple stress theory and Hamilton’s principle. Constitutive equations are also derived based on modified couple stress and finally, analytical solution for simply supported Nano rectangular FG plate is obtained by using of Navier solution. Examples of length scales parameter and power law index are presented to show effect of this parameter on plate behaviors. Results show that plate’s deflection enhances with power law index increasing and by increasing of length scale parameter, deflection decreases, and for frequencies, the deflection with both raising of power law index and length parameter scales, are reduced

Buckling Analysis of a Micro Composite Plate with Nano Coating Based on the Modified Couple Stress Theory

The present study investigates the buckling of a thick sandwich plate under the biaxial non-uniform compression using the modified couple stress theory with various boundary conditions. For this purpose, the top and bottom faces are orthotropic graphene sheets and for the central core the isotropic soft materials are investigated. The simplified first order shear deformation theory (S-FSDT) is ...

Refined plate theory for free vibration analysis of FG nanoplates using the nonlocal continuum plate model

In this article, the free vibration behavior of nanoscale FG rectangular plates is studied within the framework of the refined plate theory (RPT) and small-scale effects are taken into account. Using the nonlocal elasticity theory, the governing equations are derived for single-layered FG nanoplate. The Navier’s method is employed to obtain closed-form solutions for rectangular nanoplates assum...

Free Vibration Analysis of Nonuniform Microbeams Based on Modified Couple Stress Theory: an Analytical Solution

In this study, analytical solution is presented to calculate the free vibration frequencies of nonuniform microbeams. Scale effects are modelled using modified couple stress theory and the microbeam is assumed to be thin while Poisson's ratio effects are also taken into account. Nonuniformity is presented by exponentially varying width among the microbeam while the thickness remains constant. R...

Free vibration analysis of multi-cracked micro beams based on Modified Couple Stress Theory

In this article, the size effect on the dynamic behavior of a simply supported multi-cracked microbeam is studied based on the Modified Couple Stress Theory (MCST).  At first, based on MCST, the equivalent torsional stiffness spring for every open edge crack at its location is calculated; in this regard, the Stress Intensity Factor (SIF) is al...

Free Vibration Analysis of Size-Dependent, Functionally Graded, Rectangular Nano/Micro-plates based on Modified Nonlinear Couple Stress Shear Deformation Plate Theories

In the present study, a vibration analysis of functionally graded rectangular nano-/microplates was considered based on modified nonlinear coupled stress exponential and trigonometric shear deformation plate theories. Modified coupled stress theory is a non-classical continuum mechanics theory. In this theory, a material-length scale parameter is applied to account for the effect of nanostructu...

Vibration Analysis of FG Micro-Beam Based on the Third Order Shear Deformation and Modified Couple Stress Theories

In this paper, free vibration analysis and forced vibration analysis of FG doubly clamped micro-beams is studied based on the third order shear deformation and modified couple stress theories. The size dependent dynamic equilibrium equations and both the classical and non-classical boundary conditions are derived using a variational approach. It is assumed that all properties of the FG micro-be...
